The owl-obsession started a few years ago and seems to be holding strong. There seems to be no end of what can have an owl on it or be turned into an owl – as evidenced by this travel pillow my sister found recently. It not only made me smile but also made me realize just how creative this industry is – both artists and manufacturers – and how we can see a trend and really give the people what they want!
How much longer will the owl obsession continue? Who knows! I do find it fascinating watching trends like this and deciding if they are new or heading out… would it make sense for my business to jump on this concept or is it better left to others… I don’t think there is a magic formula for some of these trends, just being observant and going with your gut instincts.

I have noticed how big they are too. They were also popular in the 70’s and I have wondered if they have come back in with the retro 70’s trend. If true maybe that will repeat with other retro trends. Or maybe, it’s the trending bird in the trend of birds and something else will swoop in soon. I have a preference for cardinals. 😉
Personally, I love the owls and even had part of my wedding themed around them, but they hold special significance to my husband and I. I did hear, however, that foxes are the new up-and-coming animal trend!
Well we will have to keep our eyes open for foxes then! 😉
