Earlier this week BJ Lantz sent me a link to this video for the trend that keeps going and going and going in art licensing… “Put a bird on it”. I had to laugh because it’s from the show Portlandia – filmed and about the artsy / earthy side of Portland, Oregon, where I live. I will admit there is much truth to where they start but they do a great job taking some of the habits of Portlanders and taking it to the extreme. Pretty funny!
Anyway – just a little something fun for your Friday!

This is hillarious and drives the point across. Thank you for sharing it.
Wow, the ROFLMAO acronym is apt this morning! I actually love bird art (Marjolein Bastin comes to mind as a fave artist who frequently uses birds in her art), but this video is just hilarious. And it’s so true, not just with birds, but with mass-market trends in other fields, such as book publishing.
TOO funny!!!
Too funny! Love it!
I love this! Thanks for sharing! And it’s so true. Not only are birds trendy in art, but they are huge in home décor right now. 🙂 I’m glad the birds keep singing.
That is absolutely perfect! I’m going to be watching that a few more times I can tell! Thanks so much for sharing, and thanks to BJ as well.
I think I need to go paint some more birds today – :0)
