Copyright issues and being original continue to be hot topics and are important to artists who want to make a living with their art.  Holly Bretschneider and Shelly Kennedy have decided to do something to help artists become more educated and informed about what can be done to deter copyright infringement and more.

They decided to turn lemons into lemonade, and launched  GOOD – the Guild of Original Designers.

GOOD is a membership organization that empowers its members to protect their original designs from copyright infringement by providing information, education and resources. inform. protect. deter. please learn a bit about us at

There is strength in numbers and, by harnessing that collective power, we can go a long way toward the day when design piracy is no longer a profitable business (and that’s the goal!)

Please take a peek around at what GOOD has to offer…
I think you might find GOOD to be a valuable resource.

I joined and have put the GOOD logos on my art website as well as this blog.  I don’t stand to gain financially by helping spread the word about GOOD but I do believe that this will be the most effective in numbers.  The more artists who join, show the logos and help spread the word, the better.

I encourage you to take a look and decide for yourself.

Here’s to your creative success!
