If you read my eNewsletter, I told you on Tuesday that I’ve been spending a bit of time helping Hal at Camp Software work out any bugs with the new, built-from-the-ground-up version of the Art Licensing Manger Software.  It is more flexible and powerful than before.  Oh, and it’s a prettier interface too. (We are artists – these things matter!)

The Art Licensing Manager 2 can also work on your iPad or iPhone – as well as both PC and Mac laptops and computers.

I would honestly be lost without this program.  It has made my business easier to manage and easier to look at strategically.  I no longer have to wade through file folders to confirm what company has what art on what products – assuming of course, that my memory of which folders to look in is good.

I can tell you who pays me the most in royalties.  I can tell you what art has been the most successful – when measured in dollars.  These things help me decide how to spend my time wisely and build my business.

The bottom line is: if you are licensing your art you need a good organization system.

I don’t recommend this for an artist who ‘wants to license their art’ – wait until you are licensing your art.  But when you are, look at this.  It is good.  It works.  I love, love, love it. (Yes, I get a commission if you buy it but I also put dollars and time into creating it so it’s more than fair.) 🙂

To have this developed on your own you will spend thousands of dollars.  This software is available at a fraction of the cost.

Watch this video for a 5 minute tour of everything it can do.

Regardless of your decision about the Art Licensing Manager software – make sure you have a good system for keeping track of all this information.  It is a make-or-break part of any art licensing business!

Here’s to your creative – and organized – success!
