Colleen Attara – Artist – February 2016

Colleen Attara is a mixed media artist who discovers goodness in the pieces left behind. She is a storyteller and treasure hunter, and has designed a popular line of greeting cards and prints that are sold in stores across the country. As part of her line, she also hand-scripts words and phrases created from remnants and salvaged shipping plastic that she sends around the world.  Stationery Trends Magazine recently listed Colleen as one of the “Strong Women of Stationery,” and her artwork is in private collections across the United States and Europe. Colleen used to carry a briefcase and work in television advertising at ABC and FOX in Philadelphia. Now she usually has paint on her clothes and could not be more grateful for the creative life she leads.  In this interview done directly from Colleen’s studio, she shares her thoughts and journey into art licensing!
