How do you know if a coach is right for you?

The answer depends on several different things –

first and foremost whether you can find a coach that is a good fit for your personality and communication style.  Someone can be an amazing coach but if you need "kind encouragement" when they have a “Drill Sergeant” mentality, you won’t make progress.

So I want you to consider a few things before you spend one dime.

First, coaching is an investment in yourself and your future.  It’s having a live human helping you strengthen your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.

Books are great, but do you ever find yourself with questions whose answers can’t be found in the pages of the book?

Or maybe you’ve run up against a situation and you just want some advice about how to handle it.  Working with a coach might be for you.

We can’t tell you who would be a good choice to coach you.
But we can tell you 4 things that describe the person that is going to get the most out of working one-on-one with a coach.

See if this describes you:

  1. Are you ready to TAKE ACTION to reach your goals?  Do you believe in ‘reasons’ and not ‘excuses’ – for example, the current economy may be the reason you have to work even harder than you might have 5 years ago, but don’t use it as an excuse to give up before you try.

  2. Do you understand that licensing isn’t a fast process – it takes time to seecash, even after you get a contract – and getting contracts can take time too.  You need to be committed to long-term thinking and consistent effort.  The good news is that you can learn and implement what you need to do for licensing while also working on other ways to earn cash – so don’t despair!

  3. Are you open to new ways of thinking, acting and working?  A coach may suggest you try some things that you haven’t done before and that might be outside your comfort zone, are you willing to try?  You won’t change your resultswithout changing your behavior – in licensing or any other area of life!

  4. Do you understand that a coach “coaches” and doesn't “do”?  A coach gives you the benefit of their experience and background but in the end, it’s up to you to do the work and build your business.

Coaching Plan Options

BRUSHSTROKE BRAINSTORMING

Do you have a specific or one-time issue
that you want help with?

Maybe you need a new perspective or insights but not long-term coaching.

If this sounds like you, “Brushstroke Brainstorming” is the way to go.

This is a pay by the hour plan with no commitment on your part… well, asidefrom the hour blocks of time you request.

To help you get the most from your time, Fill out the Preparation Form and email it to your coach at least 12 hours before your session so everyone is up to speed.  It will also help you really narrow in on things you want help with.

The cost for “Brushstroke Brainstorming”varies depending on the coach so see the individual pages for details.

CONTINUOUS COACHING

Do you do your best work when you have
specific goals and deadlines?

Do you like having someone to be accountable to -- checking in and getting regular help to build your business?

If this sounds like you, “Continuous Coaching”
may be just what you need!

This is a minimal commitment plan with clients agreeing to at least 6 hours of coaching, to be used within 3 months.

To get the most from your time, there is an "Initial Preparation Form" for you to fill out and email to your coach at least 12 hours before your first session so everyone is up to speed.

I highly recommend you spend some time reviewing the “Focus Finder Worksheet” to find the areas you feel are yourstrengths and weaknesses.

After your first session, you will have a "Session Preparation Form" before each additional session to track your progress
and stay on task.  This will help you to get as much as possible from your coaching.

“Continuous Coaching” clients agree to a minimum of 6 hours of coaching, to be used within a 3 month time period.
