When life happens, you can make time for it. I’ve been MIA from social media and my blogs for the past week because I became a new aunt to these little cuties! Meet Landon and Bridger Reed – born to my brother and his wife on April 27, 2011.
Some people have been questioning my sanity over the past few weeks because I’ve been really working ahead for SURTEX – but this is why! I knew these little cuties would be coming before the show and I had to organize my time to be ready to help. These are the younger brothers of my niece – now 2 1/2 – that I sometimes tell you about. For five days I was off in a baby vortex – taking care of my niece, my parents were at my house and we were all running back and forth to the hospital to visit and help.
It was so exciting, tiring, and distracting – I would have had a hard time concentrating if I’d had to go to a cubicle all day!
This is one more reason I love being my own boss – I could plan my work around this once-in-a-lifetime event and be in the thick of it.
But now I better get my head back in the game – I leave for SURTEX next Friday! I’m sure I’ll see many of you there!
Here’s to your creative success!
– Tara Reed
Congrats! I can only imagine how overwhelming it all is…but I so agree that is wonderful to be your own boss, so you can truly LIVE life 🙂
Aw, how adorable! 😀 Congratulations to your brother and his wife, and congrats to you as well! I bet your niece is super proud of her new little brothers.
Soooo cute Tara. Congratulations!
Precious baby boys! Congratulations to all of your family!
AWWWW! Adorable and precious! Yes, it’s great when our biz gives us the luxury of planning around important family events. I just visited the grandkids 3 weekends in a row! Balance between work and family certainly rounds out ones life. Now you can enjoy those kiddies for a lifetime!
Congrats Auntie Tara!

Awww…Look at them! They are too cute!!! Congrats, Tara! I so hear you on being out of “the box”! I have 3 little ones and am trying my hardest to escape from Cubicle Nation so that I can spend precious moments with them! Won’t be easy, but it will be worth it!
Make it happen!
